My Heart on the Mat, My Body in the Chair

My heart has been on the mat for thirty strong years
But my body–oh, the body–weakness it fears

Stretch further, reach longer, go ahead, dare
With my heart on the mat, my body in the chair

Whatever the pose, however deep the bend,
The heart leads the way, and the body begins to mend

A chair, some blocks, and blankets are near.
So all breathe deeply, you are here.
